About our Beasts and Bars

Bullion Beasts are meticulously handcrafted by one of Asia’s most respected jewelry manufacturers. This esteemed company not only meets the rigorous requirements of AC89 and the IAS Accreditation Criteria for Testing Laboratories but also demonstrates compliance with the ISO/IEC Standard 17025:2017. This standard outlines general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

Gold bars are exclusively sourced from the highest tier of global refineries, such as Argor-Heraeus, refined either in Switzerland or at one of Asia’s largest refineries located in Hong Kong. Each gold bar is individually numbered and certified. All gold bars sold by Bullion Beasts can be repurchased at any time at a fair market price.

Interesting detail: each Bullion Beast or Gold Bar sold is stamped or laser etched with unique identifying codes, to secure and prove authenticity. Each item is also sold with an NFC enabled certificate card, which uses cutting edge anti-counterfeit technology, backed by the blockchain, to also guarantee each bar or Bullion Beast sold is genuine and unique. 

In simple terms, the more pure the gold, the softer the metal. During the lengthy design and prototyping phases, it became clear that producing functional pieces in the purest grade golds meant items were not strong enough.

So, we had to strike a balance between purity and strength. At the heart of the Bullion Beasts concept is getting bullion-grade gold into as many hands as possible. Rest assured, every Bullion Beast sold will be made from 99.9% pure gold bullion or higher.

The number represent the purity. 999 gold identifies the product has been made from gold that is 99.9% pure or above, which qualifies them as investment-grade Bullion. 995 is 99.5% pure gold, with the remainder other trace elements.


Gold can sometimes be expressed in carats, or k. For example, 18k, 22k or 24k. This also refers to the purity. 

24 carat (24k gold)- 99.5% to 99.99% pure gold with no other metals. 

22 carat (22k gold) - 91.7% gold with the remainder made up of other metals, often copper or silver.

20 carat (20k gold) - 83.3% gold with the remainder made up of other metals, often copper or silver.

18 carat - (18k gold) - 75% gold with the remainder made up of other metals, often copper, silver and/ or palladium. 

Note. The additional metals are typically added to enhance the strength, scratch resistance or color of the gold.

To be 100% clear, customers own their assets 100% outright. You are free to sell your Bullion Beasts and bars at any time and to whomever you choose.


If you sell any assets maintained in a Bullion Beasts vault facility, we can help manage the transfer, storage or delivery to the new buyer. Please reach out to customer service for more details.

Bullion Beasts accepts Bank Transfers to our Corporate account in HSBC Hong Kong, FPS and Credit Card payments through our service provider Stripe. Please note that credit card transactions may incur a fee of up to 3.4% in addition to the cost of the item. These fees are charged by Stripe and the credit card companies, and are outside of our control.

We do not accept cash payments.

The additional fees for credit card purchases are charges imposed by our payment service provider and the credit card companies themselves. These fees may be up to 3.4%, excluding currency conversion fees (if applicable) which may also be charged by your card provider.

About Delivery

Given the value of consignments, we will only ship to jurisdictions that support the highest-quality recorded delivery service providers or couriers offering insurance. Our primary delivery partner is UPS. If shipping is not possible to your jurisdiction, you can still purchase Bullion Beasts and secure your assets in our full insured vaults.

Sales and import taxes vary by jurisdiction, so please reach out to us if you are purchasing from overseas.

Local courier delivery is available in Hong Kong at competitive rates. Please note that, due to the high value of shipments, items can only be delivered to the person specified on the delivery form at the time of ordering. The recipient will be required to provide a valid photo identification upon delivery, which must match the name on the delivery documents.

Please adhere to the following steps:

  1. If you see any damage to the exterior of the package or have any suspicion of damage, please do not sign the shipment receipt. Please request our courier resend back to Bullion Beasts and contact our customer support.
  2. If you find damaged products after accepting the shipment and opening the package, please contact our customer support immediately. We will request photos of the damaged products and relay further information on how to proceed.

In cases of incorrect products, please adhere to the following steps:

  1. Please confirm the contents of the package when receiving the shipment from our courier. Before opening the package, confirm that the products ordered match the waybill.
  2. After opening the package, if the order does not match the contents, please contact customer support and we will be glad to arrange an exchange for the correct products. We will request photos of the incorrect products received.


At the present time, customers can only collect purchases from Bullion Beasts Head office in Hong Kong.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Appointment to collect items must be made with at least 3 working days notice, as items will need to be withdrawn from our primary long term storage facility. Please use our appointment booking form to create an appointment. 

For the sake of clarity, appointments must be made. Under Bullion Beasts insurance policy, we can not maintain more than 10 ounces of gold at the head office at any 1 time. Please do not come without a booked appointment! You will be turned away!  

For collection of orders in excess of 10oz, please contact us directly to arrange collection directly from our vault in Central Hong Kong.

At launch, Bullion Beasts will only be for sale within Hong Kong. However will expand to other markets in the very near future. for further details of when new markets open up, please make sure you sign up for our newsletter.

Bullion Beast charges transparent fees for to clients that wish to maintain their Gold assets in secured and insured vaults managed by Bullion Beasts.

Fees are paid in advance on a rolling contract as laid out on our Storage page. 

Should you wish to cancel storage in one of Bullion Beasts secure insured vaults, we can help with arranging delivery or prepare for collection. Please contact Customers Service to arrange collection or to arrange delivering to your new vault location or home delivery address. 

Note. Failure to pay any outstanding vault fees may result in assets being retained until outstanding Vault fees in arrears are due. 

Yes! However there are a few things that must happen first. You will need to deliver back to Bullion Beasts head office, or contact us and we can arrange for an insured courier to come and collect from you. 

We will check any incoming gold bars or Beasts for authenticity and if passed, the items will be added to the vault. Storage fees will be payable from the day the items enter the vault.

IMPORTANT NOTE. Any items that fail authenticity testing will be returned to you, or sent to the police for fraud investigation.
